Eurofins IT Solutions India Pvt Ltd (A CMMI Level 3 Company) is a 100% full owned subsidiary of Eurofins. POSITION TITLE:              QA Test Engineer

REPORTING TO:               Manager                                          

REPORTING LOCATION: Bangalore          

WORKING LOCATION:     Bangalore

SUMMARY OF POSITION AND OBJECTIVES:

Smart test engineer required to work as a scrum team member in a testing role with manual testing skills and to deliver a high-quality product. Should be willing to scale up in Automation skills upon training.

Execute test cases manually, do this with a certain perfections, punctual and correct and report issues on a structured way

This role expects the candidate to work closely with the scrum team effectively, understand the requirements and think through all possible use cases to test and produce an outcome that results in improving the quality of the product.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

Experience:

Experience between 1 to 3 years in application software testing

• Knowledge / experience in  manual testing
• Understand the requirements and write test cases and perform manual testing on the application.
• Review the Test Cases from other team members.
• Provide effective communication regarding issues, objectives, initiatives and performance to plan
• Good to have the knowledge to perform Root Cause Analysis of Defects, if needed

Technology skills:

• Strong knowlege / experience in  manual testing
• Strong understanding of SQA methodologies
• Nice to have Hands-on Experience or knowledge on some Test Management tool like TFS/MTM etc.,
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodology and working experience in an Agile work environment.
• Should have a working knowledge of SOA testing principles.
• Good experience in DB side testing using SQL queries
• Good Interpersonal skills working in agile scrum team.

Personal Skills:

The project is an agile project, which changing requirements, so people need a certain flexibility in priorities and what is best for the project. Communication is key

• Communicative - Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Self-steering
• Problem solving - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Capable of keeping a helicopter view over his/her part of the features
• Should demonstrate qualities of being a good team player.
• Ability to think out of the box, keen observer and eye for details.

PREFERED CANDIDATES:

• The successful candidate will have a self-motivated, get-it-done attitude; the ability to think critically; enjoy working with teams spread globally and across cultures; a desire to learn in new areas; and the discipline to pay attention to deadlines, details and quality.
• Candidates with ISTQB certification will have a better preference.
