POSITION TITLE:              QA Test Lead Engineer

SUMMARY OF POSITION AND OBJECTIVES:

•  Required to lead the Testing Activities of a Scrum team and also be responsible for all the Test Deliverables for the Scrum Team.
• Write test scripts and focus on the more complex scenarios. support the junior automation engineers with coding guidelines and with technical support when they have questions
• Running and keep on running the scripts on a day to day basis. Scripts need to run always on different environments and SW versions. This means that scripts need to be hardened and written very well.
• Since we work in feature teams the team needs to make sure the work is done so sporadic manual testing might be part of the scope to meet milestones.

POSITION & OBJECTIVES:

Job description:

• Design, develop, deploy and support web applications and devise solutions as per business requirements.
• Understand the requirements, transform those into test cases and also execute and perform a review of test cases.
• Collaboratively work with different teams for test data and end to end testing.
• Should be the SPOC for the team he/she is assigned for.
• Ensure that activities are coordinated with all stakeholders according to schedule while ensuring that testing activities are thoroughly documented by the testing lifecycle and engineering activities.
• Provide effective communication regarding issues, objectives, initiatives and performance to plan
• Work with the QA Manager and colleagues to define strategy associated with Functional and Integration Testing.
• Support the Planning of test schedules by project scope/delivery dates.
• Participate in user story reviews to provide input on functional requirements, Acceptance Criteria, schedules, or potential problems.
• Should have good knowledge of Defect Management process and be able to perform Root Cause Analysis of Defects.
• Should be able to Mentor team members and monitor their activities.
• Should drive Daily Status Calls, Meetings with Stakeholders, Sprint Walkthroughs/Reviews, and Grooming Meetings.
• Work closely Application SPOCs.
• Should assist the Automation activity and be the SPOC for the automation team to reach out to.
• Maintain, modify, optimize and extend existing solutions as a part of support and performance optimization projects, if any.
• Working together with other team members to ensure high quality of delivered solutions.
• Ensuring good practices and high-quality standards are implemented and followed.
• Help other teams to link highest-level concepts and actionable requirements.
• Performing other related duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• 6-10 Years of overall work experience as a Tester.
• At least 2-4 years of experience as Test Lead
• Understand overall requirements and prepare automation strategy (framework, priorities, planning which is to be integrated with overall project plan)
• Prepare Test schedules by project scope/delivery dates.
• Strong analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Collaboration with Software Architect(s) and other technical groups within Eurofins (Includes design, documentation, prototyping and validation)

 TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED

• Strong experience in Test automation (Javascript / Python)  or other scripting/programming languages.
• Experience with Flutter is a plus
• Knowledge in Database (MSSQL).
• Participate in user story reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems.
• Understand the requirements, transform those in to test cases
• Should have good communication and be able to interact with the Testing and Dev teams with ease.
• Should be self-driven and ability to deliver with little monitoring.

PERSONAL SKILLS

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal/written Communication, Interpersonal and Presentation skills. And can explain complex functional/technical concepts with ease (via diagrams, flowcharts etc.,).
• Should be a self-motivated, independent, detail-oriented, responsible team-player and exhibit exceptional relationship skills
• Candidate to have a do-it-done attitude; the ability to think critically; enjoy working with teams spread globally and across cultures; a desire to learn in new areas; and the discipline to pay attention to deadlines, details and quality.
• Experience in Agile (Scrum) methodologies needed.
• Ability to adapt quickly to an existing, complex environment.
• Ability to quickly learn new concepts and software is necessary
