Job Description

Eurofins Clinical Diagnostics US is looking for an experienced StarLIMS Developer/programmer to increase functionality on StarLIMS systems, and work to help with the deployment of it to several sites. This candidate should be able to work independently to support, configure and customize StarLIMS while also working with the Business Analysts and IT leadership teams on a daily basis. This developer should be able to be able to evaluate product enhancements and capabilities, in addition to implementing upgrades. This candidate must also be willing to travel up to 10% of the time.  

Responsibilities:

  • Work on Scripting languages in general/particular Jscript .Net and SSL (STARLIMS Scripting Language)
  • Advanced MS SQL query writing
  • Work closely with Business Analysts, Application Support, SMEs and Stakeholders to understand business requirements and implement new workflows or changes to existing workflows
  • Work within defined IT processes and procedures including the company’s internal software development life cycle methodology (SDLC)
  • Consult with senior peers on non-complex projects to learn through experience
  • Represent department and the organization favourably and in accordance with established Company standards and associate attributes at all times
  • Manage designated technology application portfolio from reengineering, enhancements and upgrades, to maintenance and monitoring
  • Work with little to no supervision with extreme latitude for independent judgment

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting, configuring, and customizing StarLIMS (programming and system architecture)
  • Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science or related field with relevant experience levels
  • Overall 6+ years in experience in IT as a software engineer or LIMS developer
  • At least 1+ years of exposure to StarLIMS
  • Thorough understanding of clinical laboratory environments and workflows is preferred
  • Proven ability and interest in building new application features and functionality, inter-operable with existing applications and infrastructure.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Familiarity with relevant regulatory requirements in the Clinical Diagnostics Lab Industry (HIPAA, HITECH  HITRUST and GxP)
  • Experience in Agile development methodologies
  • Understanding of web application development principles
  • Understanding of relational databases, database design and optimization
  • Experience working with .Net framework and web services
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills. Experience working with global teams
