Tasks/Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a customer technical contact.
  • Interpret standards and apply the requirements to products under investigation.
  • Create and implement test procedures.
  • Conduct tests in accordance with standards and procedures, record results.
  • Ensure that test equipment is calibrated or tested and operates properly.
  • Interface with and update the lab manager.
  • Review files and reports prepared by other project engineers.
  • Monitors multiple projects underway.
  • Prepare certification reports and related documents.
  • Develop and update test procedures and other quality documentation as needed.
  • Identify equipment needed to enhance or expand testing capability.
  • Assists department with quoting.
  • Assist Sales with closing new work.

    Basic Minimum Qualifications: 

    • Four year college degree-Engineering discipline
    • Minimum three years experience in product safety engineering, preferably with another NRTL.
    • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

    Additional Information

    Position is full-time, Monday - Friday 40 hrs/week.  Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Austin, TX are encouraged to apply.
