Job Description

The CEE IT Infrastructure regional team consists of high skilled Service Desk technicians, IT operations engineers and project managers. Our goal is to provide to our customers the possible highest quality on IT infrastructure services, following the company standards and ITIL recommendations.

This is a demanding support position which calls for excellent customer service skills, the ability to articulate solutions clearly and confidently to Eurofins Internal end users and a high degree of technical knowledge across a broad range of technologies and IT Services provided by Eurofins IT. The IT Support maintains the computer and networks providing technical support and ensuring the whole company runs smoothly. IT Support monitors and maintains the company computer systems, installs and configures hardware and software, and solves technical problems.

IT Field Support Technician woud be responsible:

  • Provide technical support on-site or remotely to users primarily in the area of front-end devices
  • Correct classification of the incidents and faults
  • Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests
  • Ensuring all faults are progressed & cleared within SLA – escalating to other teams
  • Diagnosing and resolving problems to the customer’s highest satisfaction
  • Monitoring and maintaining computer systems
  • Identify opportunities to innovate, extend and enhance service delivery everywhere is possible
  • Keeping up to date on administrative responsibilities such as maintaining customer service logs and internal service and time records in a timely manner
  • Also worth noting is the occasionally physical nature of the role as they may have to lift heavy equipment
  • Working as a member of the regional team to provide efficient service delivery to all accounts within the assigned IT Region, work together with other IT-Teams and travel if necessary
  • Adhering to current regulatory requirements to include, but not limited to, GxP, HIPPA, GDPR
  • The position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.- 5 p.m., with overtime as needed

Qualifications

As an ideal candidate you should be experienced in:

  • Skilled with working on all variants MS Windows.
  • Skilled with working on MS Office.
  • A keen interest in networking.
  • Experience diagnosing and repairing IT equipment.
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical issues in an easy to understand manner
  • The ability to liaise and communicate confidently and professionally.
  • Natural aptitude for trouble shooting & problem solving.
  • Have solid experience in a helpdesk or technical support environment.
  • Decision-making, problem resolution and creative thinking skills;
  • Highly organized and able to work on own initiative to complete the range of tasks required.
  •  Flexible and willing to work outside core business hours as required.
  • Good in English verbally and in writing.

Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license is required
  • At least three years’ work experience in a similar role
  • Secondary with school-leaving examination in IT or above
