Job Description

Student Intern responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Light sample preparation duties including weighing, transferring, SPE cleanup, evaporation, etc as it relates to sample prep
  • Calibration of preparation equipment including balances, pipets, temperature control devices
  • Dusting and general cleaning of equipment, glassware, fume hoods exterior and interior, all relevant laboratory prep equipment
  • Compliance with Quality Manual policies and laboratory procedures as applicable to their position.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate would possess:

  • Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies

Basic Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be an enrolled student

Additional Information

Position is full-time, seasonal, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., with overtime as needed.  Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of New Orleans, Louisiana are encouraged to apply.
