Job Description

Eurofins Central Laboratory (ECL), a part of the Biopharma division of Eurofins is in need of an experienced IT Application Support Engineer. As a key member of the global IT Solutions team you play a critical role in providing a high level of IT service to our customers by maintaining the software applications and related hardware.

Job Role

  • Proactive, professional technical support service for applications following ITIL guidelines.
  • IT support and maintenance of business applications to ensure the effective and efficient functioning of global business operations.
  • Create productive relationships with key users, vendors and colleagues to ensure timely and efficient resolution of incidents/problems.
  • Work closely and collaborate with the Information Technology and Operations teams to support systems and process improvements.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation / knowledgebase to ensure support, maintenance and recovery of all IT systems.
  • Where required contribute to the training to ensure the correct implementation and use of the applications within the business.

Qualifications

  • Self-organizing, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Critical thinking and analytical skills with troubleshooting and complex problem-solving ability.
  • Strong Computing and or IT background with at least 3-5 years of related work experience.
  • You have attention to detail and are motivated by high quality results.
  • Hands-on experience working with IT hardware and software.
  • Exposure to agile, DevOps and/or automation is desirable.
  • ITIL foundation certification is preferable.
