Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Strong skills in identifying, initiate contacts with, prospects through trade shows, cold calling, and marketing research. Following up sales opportunities diligently for QTA business. Ability to leverage the resource within the company to win deals
  • Maintain and initiate commercial contracts with customers, such as but not limited to; quotes, requests for information (RFI), proposals etc. in accordance with the sales plan and company guidelines.
  • Constructively contribute to sales teams in the development of program strategies, proposals, capabilities presentations, and proposal defense strategies for assigned clients.
  • Be responsible for achieving personal and departmental objectives/targets. Ability to leverage the resource within the company and Eurofins network to win deals
  • Assist in the development of annual sales forecasts, budget requirements, and sales plan of action for the business unit.  
  • Confer with all parties involved on issues of execution, special costs, planning of services offered and the acceptance of work.
  • Deliver high quality presentations and maintain ongoing customer communication regarding the laboratory and other ancillary capabilities.
  • Maintain up-to-date customer information in the CRM system.
  • Maintain effective communication with the trade through regular field travel, convention attendance, customer visits and third party influence contacts. Keep abreast of trade developments and communicate same to management.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Understand prospects' operations, and will be capable of identifying and developing customer value propositions
  • Strong track record of success with providing value added solutions to the customer (troubleshooting and Process Engineering assistance)
  • Experience in Laboratory and or Process Engineering experience, with customer interaction, may be considered in lieu of commercial experience
  • Must have a strong desire and aptitude for sales and continuous learning 
  • Strong negotiation skills, strong analytical skills, strong sense of entrepreneurship, strong presentation skills
  • Demonstrated experience with selling at multiple levels within customer organizations required
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Minimum 5 year experience in business development, sales, procurement, technical service, or marketing experience; a proven closer
  • Preferred 2 year minimum or remote work experience 
  • Bachelor's degree in Science or Business/Marketing Related Field 
  • Ability to travel 50-60%
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
