Job Description

Employee Responsibilities:

The Materials Management Scientist Group Leader will supervise and be involved in all functions within materials management group at our client site to support campaigns in a timely and efficient manner.  This position will comply with FDA, EPA, OSHA, IATA and client regulations and policies.  Our employees will Interact and effectively communicate with technicians, campaign managers and process chemists to ensure planning for smooth execution of operations.  This position will interact and communicate effectively with client colleagues both abroad and domestically to ensure applicable campaign timelines are met.

Qualifications

The Ideal Candidate would possess:

  • Experience ordering and procuring pharmaceutical inventory including raw materials, solvents Leadership experience
  • Experience maintaining, operating and overseeing all aspects of the loading docks including proper and timely documentation
  • Experience interacting with external vendors
  • Experience maintaining the minimum chemical inventory in order to properly supply each individual campaigns requirement.
  • Performing inventory analysis of all chemicals, raw materials, solvents and any materials at least bi-annually or as deemed necessary.
  • Experience collecting, prepping, packaging, subdividing (split), and staging chemicals appropriately upon request and document to client standards.
  • Experience recording, sampling or testing materials (Release, ID, Chemical, Analysis, Use Test, Retain, and any other various samples for internal and external customers) upon goods receipt or as necessary in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Experience maintaining the integrity of all of the individual materials (Trading units) and batches both physical and electronically using a variety of inventory control functions. Maintain and evaluate these materials using various methods.
  • Apply appropriate labeling to all received and stored materials
  • Experience distributing pharmaceutical materials to proper destination(s)
  • Coordinating and communicating tracking and temperature data to relevant parties
  • Good receipt of materials into BIePs (BIePs is ARIBAs replacement)
  • Experience maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of all loading docks, storage rooms, sampling rooms, dispensing areas and all other areas that fall within Materials Managements jurisdiction.
  • Experience working with logistics and any other of the various departments to ensure that the correct materials arrive at the desired destination safely, intact and in a timely and efficient manner.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS in a relevant discipline (chemistry preferred)
  • Experience working in a materials management function
  • Completion of required training
  • Understanding of safe handling of hazardous chemicals
  • Expertise in warehouse inventory management
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Familiarity with Good manufacturing practice (GMP)
  • Full compliance with Standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of packaging chemicals for domestic and international shipping
  • Leadership experience or skills

Sampling of BIEL 3B (1-10 g/M3) materials

Sampling of organometallic materials

Sampling of odiferous materials

Forklift training

Gator Training

IATA training for packaging materials for shipping

Respirator fit test

Position is full-time, Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Ridgefield, CT are encouraged to apply.
