Job Description

Eurofins is aggressively expanding its new international Electrical & Electronical testing Business Line with a number of recent acquisitions.  It’s development strategy includes an aggressive expansion of Safety, EMC, Wireless and Environmental services to support the Medical Devices industry.

 

·Develop the North American Business Unit activities through organic and acquisitive growth while achieving the EBIT targets at the current sites of Baltimore, MD; Austin, TX; Santa Clara, CA & Union City, CA; as well as any future new sites.

·Support the development of all other international E&E affiliates in Europe and Asia.

·Take all necessary appropriate measures to improve economic profitability, including hands-on personal commitment in addressing situations where profit levels are too low.

·Improve operational efficiency at all laboratories, through the streamline the existing organisational processes and by leveraging IT technologies.

·Move the company culture to one that focuses on operational excellence (safety, quality, customer service, growth, analytics/metrics etc…).

·Lead and take part in the marketing and sales process, to ensure a high level customer satisfaction. Attend and lead meetings with key clients, at all levels and develop an in depth knowledge of customer requirements through regular meetings.

·Drive the regional cross-selling and the development of synergies with other Eurofins laboratories.

·Hire, motivate, develop and retain a talented management team and experienced employees, whilst meeting Eurofins’ preferred personality profile as described in Annex 1.

·Define and agree goals and milestones with the team(s) and ensure goals are defined and communicated to their respective teams. Set up customer centric Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor progress. Follow up as appropriate and become hands on if required to ensure achievement of goals.

·Ensure the continuous development of all the technical and scientific aspects of the business units through continued investment in people, systems and the diversification of service offerings.

·Annually prepare and propose a budget and 3 years development plan. Report deviations on a monthly basis.

·Develop, monitor and report a performance dashboard with a limited number of KPI’s.

·Work closely with the SVP E&E Product Testing International to support the successful integration of acquisitions in accordance with strategic goals and decisions / guidelines defined by the board.

·Ensure that all relevant legal and Health & Safety requirements are being abided to at all times.

·Guarantee that all necessary accreditations are being maintained and regularly expanded upon and that all employees act according to Eurofins values and a strick code of integrity.

·Lead according to Eurofins Leadership Charter and act as a role model for leadership and staff.

Qualifications

  • At least 10 years of professional experience
  • At least 3 years of these with full P&L responsibility and proven financial success

Position is full-time, Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm.  Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of, or willing to relocate to,Union City, CA are encouraged to apply.
