Job Description

This Cell biologist will support flow cytometry assays and services in oncology research. 
 

Responsibilities:

  • Primary cell isolation from blood products and tissues (human, mouse, monkey); 
  • Performing in vitro assays using primary cells and/or cell lines and maintaining cultures when necessary; 
  • Flow cytometry (performing established multiparameter flow cytometry assays, performing antibody titration experiments, including analysis and incorporation into antibody database); 
  • Optimizing new multiparameter flow panels; analyzing flow cytometry data using Flowjo; 
  • Assisting in general laboratory duties for the group, such as inventory management, organization, etc.; 
  • Record all experimental details and results in accordance with current electronic lab notebook guidelines and requirements

Qualifications

The Ideal Candidate would possess:

  • Strong skill set and hands-on experience in flow cytometry analysis of primary cells (4 colors or more)
  • Primary immune cell isolation and culture
  • Experience with cell based functional immunological assays (e.g. proliferation, activation, phosphorylation, ELISpot, etc)
  • Ability to work both independently and in teams to deliver against timelines
  • Strong independent problem solving and troubleshooting skills, and ability to contribute constructively to scientific discussions

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS in science related discipline
  • 1-5 years of related experience 
  • Flow cytometry experience
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
