Job Description

The Group IT Infrastructure Architect Leader  role is responsible for leading the teams defining standards, tools and processes covering all aspects of IT Infrastructure for all Group companies together with the Regional Competence & Standards Leaders.

This implies managing the Group IT Competencies and Standards team, but also a very strong collaboration and teaming with the different Regional IT Competence & Standards Leaders that are close to the business.

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop an overall scalable Architecture and executable IT Infrastructure Technology Roadmap including all relevant tools, processes and standards.
  • The Group IT Standards & Competencies Leader will own, build and maintain the shared group standards for all IT Infrastructure domains, meaning the overarching IT Infrastructure Architecture including:
    • Architectural design, Security, tooling and typologies;
    • Technical Solutions and software;
    • New technologies and solutions awareness / adoption;
    • Operational process, procedures and best practices;
    • KPIs, control points, cost of service and reporting;
  • The Group IT Competence & Standards Leader will oversee the management (create and/or change) of the globally shared standards in close cooperation with all Regional IT Competence & Standards Leaders;
  • Ensure Group standard solutions are compliant with other key Group standards like Security, Service Management and Cost management framework;
  • Support the regional teams in the implementation of the standard solutions;
  • Monitor the regional utilization of the standard solutions (KPIs/SLAs/OLAs);
  • Evangelize the deployment, utilization and improvement of Group standards within his/her topic ;
  • Together with peers, participate in the definition of other (outside of his topic) Eurofins standards and policies;
  • Work closely together with the Enterprise Architects to align on the overall architecture and service landscape
  • Act as the ambassador for his  topic with other IT teams globally or regionally;

 

Team Management

  • Empower and develop people to contribute to performance;
  • Define and manages objetivces to/with the team, according to the overall strategy.
  • Manage the team ensuring all HR procedures are applied both with respect of the local regulations on work law and of the Eurofins internal rules;
  • Define and publish KPIs/SLAs/OLAs on a regular basis and monitoring the effectiveness of the teams.

 

Cost and Budget Management

  • Design business case driven rationalizations and cost/benefit analyses for IT investments and initiatives in his topic for the Group, and support where required the Regional IT domain Leaders in justifying regional investments.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Information Technology
  • 3-5 years of work experience in a similar function
  • ITIL Foundations certification.

Technical Skills:

  • Experience in working with IT Infrastructure processes and tools
  • Proven ability to work with tool sets including, but not limited to Microsoft Excel and pivot tables, PowerPoint, MS Project.
  • Ability to review large amounts of data and analyse and spot trends and provide analysis and structured insights/action plans.

Others:

  • Proven excellence in managing “solid line” reporting relationships for Infrastructure teams. (5-8 years of experience).
  • Proven experience in matrix organization (5+ years of experience)
  • Experience in technology Management. (5+ years of experience):
  • Proven ability to setup a vision and transform the vision into executable strategies with a team and coach them (3+ years)
  • Proven ability to create and improve IT Infrastructure solutions in the domain to drive efficiency, quality, and cost effective solutions. (5-10 years of experience)
  • Ability to analyses and structure data that matters to build reports, metrics and KPI; and couple them with analysis and insights. (5-8 years of experience)
  • Strong organizational design and coordination skills. (5+ years of experience)
  • Proven ability to be self-motivated and a self-starter.
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision.
  • Broad understanding in ITIL methodologies and Service Management.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong customer service mind-set.
