Job Description

Provide guidance, expertise and support to the EAR team regarding the registration or re-registration of active substances and crop protection products under the Regulation (EC) No 1107/2009 at European and member state levels.

  • Evaluate client data under the focus of regulatory requirements for toxicological data (Data Gap Analyses, Risk Assessments, Exposure Estimates, Product Classification).
  • Develop testing strategies to assist clients in experimental programs according to European, international and national data requirements.
  • Study monitoring in and outside the Eurofins Agroscience Service Group, expert advice in innovative/alternative testing approaches.
  • Dossier preparation (for active substance and/or product registration/renewal) including summarizing experimental data for authorization, evaluation of experimental work with regards to the quality and the regulatory requirements.
  • Non dietary human risk assessments (Operator, Worker, Resident and Bystander).
  • Dossier defense and expert advice in the different areas of toxicology, ability to apply knowledge and previous experiences to address complex scientific challenges in a time and effective manner.
  • Support Project Managers to prepare quotations and contracts within the Eurofins Agroscience Regulatory team, in accordance with pre-agreed quotation guidance documents.
  • Provide / assist in training and developing staff in activities and procedures in which the candidate has achieved the necessary level of competency.
  • The position may also be involved periodically to assist other members of staff in representing the EAR activities at meetings and conferences and giving company presentations.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have a PhD in toxicology or related area, or a Pharm. D,

  • Ideally European Registered Toxicologist (ERT).
  • 5 to 10 years of professional experience as regulatory toxicologist (with primary focus pesticides regulatory toxicology)
  • Knowledge of the European and US regulatory testing guidelines.
  • Additional knowledge in specific areas will be an asset: ED evaluation, QSAR modelling, AOP models.
  • Demonstrate teamwork and leadership abilities to work and/or coordinate multiple projects
