Eurofins BioPharma Product Testing Australia / New Zealand provides contract GMP testing to human and animal pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device and complementary medicine manufactures, as well as an extensive range of SPF and other cosmetics testing, both in-vitro and in-vivo in accordance with a range of local and international standards. The range of testing includes microbiological and chemistry on raw materials, in process and finished products, complemented by product formulation services. We operate out of sites in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Auckland, which are all GMP licensed by local regulators and are accredited to ISO 17025.  In addition to the provision of world class analytical testing, the laboratories also provide consultative services to their clients made available by a team of highly qualified scientists.

Job Description

Due to a recent internal appointment, the position of Senior Microbiologist within Eurofins | ams is currently vacant, and we are seeking candidates for this exciting opportunity. Remuneration will be $70,000 - $80,000 per annum.

The role of the Senior Microbiologist is to locally assess, design, implement and manage the test offering of the Sterile Products Testing Department. This includes performing testing of samples as directed.

Key Position Objectives:

The role will focus on:

  • Project management - execution and planning of multiple projects.
  • Preparing protocol and GLP final reports for custom client (or internal) projects.
  • Evaluation of routine test results and the preparation of interim and final reports.
  • Reviewing and checking worksheets for completeness and data entry.
  • Assisting with a variety of tests including disinfectant assays, endotoxin testing, sterility testing, genetic ID testing, cytotoxicity testing, etc.

Qualifications

As an important role within Eurofins | ams, the following selection criteria are essential for success:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant area, i.e. Biotechnology, etc.
  • 5+ years of experience in GMP regulated laboratory environments.
  • Expertise in endotoxin and disinfectant analysis is essential.
  • Well-developed technical and process skills, analysis and problem identification skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
