Job Description

Eurofins York is the leading international provider of regulatory compliance services and products to the manufacturing and electronics industry, particularly in the fields of EMC, Radio/Wireless Certification, Electrical Safety, EMF, RF and Global Market Access.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Expert Services team at our offices in York.  The team specialises in compliance for electronic and electrical products. We have a worldwide reputation for Railway EMC, including on-site EMC testing.  We have been involved in a number for high profile projects both in the UK and around the world, and we are looking to expand our team to grow the  services and capabilities that we provide.

Applications are invited for the position of (Senior) Engineer within our Expert Services department. The post holder will assist clients to achieve compliance in a variety of industries and across global markets. Additionally, the post holder will be expected to perform site visits and  to plan and deliver testing in a variety of locations and environments nationwide.

The successful applicant will join our close-knit team and will have the opportunity to experience a wide range of compliance based work, ranging from live lineside testing of rail equipment to ensuring that commercial products are correctly certified and legally compliant.  We see a large variety of products from specialist industrial machines to off the shelf items from household names.  We also see early adopters looking to ensure the smoothest entry to market and therefore we are looking for a candidate with a genuine interest in this sector.

The successful candidate will ideally have similar proven experience in a customer-driven environment together with excellent interpersonal skills. Where not already gained, the candidate will need to show a willingness to work towards professional recognition status.

Qualifications

Minimum Candidate Requirements:

-          Level 7 National Qualifications Framework (NQF) related qualification (eg MSc/MEng/MPhys)

-          Strong knowledge of IT

-          Technical knowledge of key markets

-          Experience of ISO 9001 or similar documented quality management system

-          Excellent personal organisation skills and time management skills

-          Ability to communicate with technical specialists and non-specialists alike

-          Team and project management skills

-          Technical leadership skills

-          Being responsible for their actions and taking proactive ownership of projects

-          Demonstrating reliability, flexibility and enthusiasm

-          Being willing to travel to visit clients within UK/abroad (occasionally)
