Job Description

As Project Team Leader, you will support and participate in the design of methods with the Bioanalytical Project Leads to drive the Method Development, Validation and Sample Analysis for Client Projects. You will be responsible for conducting research and developing novel methods in a regulatory compliant laboratory. 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the development, validation and transfer of immunoassays and bioanalytical methods and leading the sample analysis portion of the projects.
  • Characterise antibodies and perform reagent qualifications.
  • Conduct evaluation of manufactured products and develop fit-for-purpose assays.
  • Participate on project teams and lead from a scientific standpoint, then provide updates internally and externally to clients, as appropiate.
  • Provide technical reports in the form of development plans, validation plans, reports, study plans, deviation reports, test methods and tables.
  • Review development and validation data, as well as sample analysis data, validation plans, reports and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Provides technical leadership and training to scientific and analytical team.
  • Provides troubleshooting, root cause analysis and assistance with method design.
  • Comply with internal and customer SOP's as required in training program.

Project Lead Functions

  • Attend and potentially lead all internal or external teleconferences with the client for the projects that they are managing.
  • To participate in internal, sponsor and regulatory audits as required.
  • Participate in the defining and reviewing of scope of project work.
  • Responsible for calculating all reagent needs and assuring that this is captured in task orders.
  • Responsible for developing project timelines and communicating to client.
  • Responsible for monitoring all data that is being generated by the scientific or analytic team on projects that they are serving as project lead.
  • Deputise as Principal Scientist or Study Director/Principal Investigator as and when required on client projects.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a regulatory compliant laboratory.
  • Experience in method development and validation.
  • Experience in designing and performing immunoassays.
  • Ability to read, write and interpret standard operating procedures and technical reports.
  • Degree level - Bachelors or Masters equivalent.
