For Eurofins PROXY Laboratories B.V. in Leiden we are looking for a Project Manager.

Eurofins BioPharma Product testing is a GMP service provider of laboratory testing and manufacturing services to the international life sciences market. Our services range from physical, chemical and microbiological quality control testing of pharmaceutical raw materials to finished dosage forms, thereby covering release, stability and method development and validation. In addition to testing, EBPT NL has an aseptic manufacturing unit in which small-scale compounding and fill and finish activities of clinical trial medication are performed. Labelling, packaging, storage, and distribution services are also offered. In-process and release testing as well as releasing the batch are included in this service.

Job Description

In this position you will primarily be responsible for multidiciplinary projects concerning the development and validation of a variety of analytical methods as well as aseptic fill and finish activities. In close collaboration with team leaders of laboratory and manufacturing teams, you will coordinate activities of our scientists, technicians and operators, both within the PROXY organisation as well as for other Business Units within the Eurofins BioPharma Product Testing NL group.

As a project manager

  • You provide operational input  for quotes/proposals to ensure capabilities and client needs are aligned;

  • You check that the scope of work and budget accurately to reflect documented client expectations at all times;

  • You define project milestones and check project performance against plan, from signed contract to invoice paid;

  • You motivate the project team members and make sure that their tasks and timelines are clear at all times;

  • You compose complete and accurate study files to pass prevailing regulatory inspections;

  • You review documentation such as analytical protocols and result reports;

  • You make sure that these projects are conducted in accordance with GMP standards and procedures;

  • You support client and internal audits;

Qualifications

For this position we will select experienced candidates with the following background:

  • PhD or MSc degree in life sciences;
  • At least three years of experience as a project manager  in a laboratory or production setting, preferably as a service provider;
  • Working experience in a GMP facility;
  • Experience in development and validation of analytical methods, preferrably including chromatography;
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills;
  • The ability to translate project objectives into actionable team goals and to motivate teams in the successful execution;
  • Independent, thorough and able to perform under pressure;
  • Hands-on mentality;
  • Result- and customer-oriented;
  • Quick adaption to unexpected situations;
  • Good communicator, both in Dutch (preferred) as well as in English (must);
