The GIOT (Group IT Operations team) is responsible for maintaining IT services (e.g.: applications, servers, backup and physical hardware). It will be done in collaboration with other IT teams and according to defined processes (e.g. IT Incident Management and IT Change Management):

• The main focus of the job owner is the management of the SANs inside the data center. This includes also the backup based on CommVault.
• Ensure that IT Services managed by the GIOT are delivered effectively to customers. This includes the execution of SOPs and management of IT Incidents, IT Changes and IT Problems in OTRS based on the related processes, procedures and work instructions
• Ensure that Eurofins standards and policies are respected;

The IT Infrastructure Storage Administrator will be responsible for the management of the SANs and backup inside the data center:

• Responsible of operations
• Monitor the availability, performance and capacity
• Deliver regular reporting of the status to GIOT IT Operations Manager
• Escalate any issue to the GIOT IT Operations Manager
• Make sure that changes are implemented in a smooth and controlled manner (e.g. Change Management, release procedure and monitoring criteria)
• Participate in the design of Eurofins standards and policies regarding IT Infrastructure services concerning Operation

For all IT Services managed by GIOT:

• IT Incidents, IT Changes and IT Problems are managed according to the existing processes
• Execute IT Changes based on standard operations procedures (SOP)

• Bachelor's degree or comparable education
• Several years experience required as storage administrator managing SANs inside enterprise level data centres with more than 200 Servers
• Several years experience as Storage administrator for Netapp SANs including CommVault
• Strong organizational skills as well as the ability to listen, gather and understand information about people and situations, quickly
• Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to influence across the organization and externally
• Excellent attention to detail and Quality
• At ease with distant & international communications through a wide array of technologies (ticketing tool, documents and forums, phone, chat, e-mail)
• Certification ITIL Foundation V3 highly appreciated, but not mandatory
• Fluent English language skills required, German language skills beneficial
