SUMMARY OF POSITION AND OBJECTIVES:

This position is primarily responsible for the general management and supervision of the PDS business performance. 

POSITION & OBJECTIVES:

• Overall responsibility for all financial, operational and quality components of the PDS company working with the President of EPDST.
• Regularly review and approve financial reports, forecasts, deviation reports, and Capex/Opex expenditures
• Regularly review and oversee operational departments
• Serve as a focal point to the industry in presenting and representing PDS
• Work closely with sales to develop crisp coordination with sales and operations
• Provide strategic and scientific leadership for PDS business
• Provide leadership for efforts to implement global policies, procedures and infrastructure to ensure best in class service to PDS’ clients.
• Promote PDS by serving as a leadership role in external professional organizations, as appropriate.
• Create and maintain consistent global best practices.
• Assist in long-term planning and service diversification; including evaluation of potential licensing and out-sourcing opportunities.

• Degree in a life science related field or equivalent; or more than 15 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Laboratory experience with in vivo pharmacology models and/or MBA training a significant plus
• Ability to build a cohesive team comprised of staff with a variety of backgrounds.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret most complex documents.
• Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.
• Ability to write speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or style.
• Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to public groups and/or boards of directors.
• Ability to apply principle s of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
• Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, etc.) in its most difficult phases.
• Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
• Ability to positively interface with client, regulatory and internal company base.
