This role is based in our London office and will primarily support our core international markets (UK, Germany, France, and Canada)

About the Role

  • Lead the development and execution of Etsy’s UK & DE buyer retention strategy including all aspects of our global email and push marketing programs, scaling across multiple audiences and markets

  • Manage and bring roadmap to life by project leading roadmap initiatives, including enabling new technologies technical teams, prioritizing dependencies with stakeholders, writing project briefs, and evolving team processes as needed

  • Deliver reporting, insights, and forecasts to improve future programs and prioritize all aspects of the international CRM roadmap

  • Quality assure and proof campaigns and journeys to ensure compliance with briefs, accurate tracking, programming guidelines, content strategy, and evolving standard methodologies

  • Drive innovation with emerging technology and leading industry best practices to strengthen the global CRM program

  • This role requires occasionally working outside of normal business hours such as weekends or early mornings depending on campaign launch times


  • 6+ years of experience leading all aspects of enterprise-level buyer retention strategies and customer-centric personalization roadmaps (Preferred: Across several different countries)

  • Deep understanding of GDPR/CAN-SPAM/CASL requirements, HTML, email design standards, and inbox deliverability and successful implementation of high impact retention marketing strategies to increase buyer LTV and engagement

  • Strong analytical skills using user-level data and email and push marketing attribution to form hypotheses, and drive innovation of our programs through multi-variant testing

  • Success in aligning priorities and building high impact strategy and roadmap, efficiently and optimally, working across multiple timezones

  • Agile and collaborative leader with strong critical thinking, problem solving skills, outstanding attention to detail, excellent communications skills, and bias toward action anticipating the constantly evolving marketing arena

  • High bar for excellence, taking accountability, ownership, and pride in all work that you lead with deep passion about the Etsy marketplace and customer experience

  • You have experience working with various Email Service Providers (ESPs) and managing email campaigns. *Preferred: You have worked in the Braze marketing automation platform*

  • You have run multi-lingual, global programs. *Preferred: Well-versed in English, German, and French*
