Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Alliance Systems Manager to join our growing Alliances & Joint Ventures team.

This is a highly specialised, hands-on technical role responsible for configuring, testing and maintaining the airline systems that underpin Etihad’s global codeshare and interline partnerships.

Working directly within live production environments, you will manage Passenger Service System (PSS) integrations, codeshare publication, interline testing and schedule synchronisation across more than 130 airline partners. Your work will have a direct impact on commercial performance, partner relationships and the customer journey.

This role offers the opportunity to play a key part in one of Etihad’s most significant technology transformations as we migrate from AirVision to Lufthansa Systems’ SchedConnect platform.

What you'll be doing:

  • Configure and maintain Amadeus Altéa Passenger Service System parameters supporting codeshare and interline operations.
  • Manage end-to-end implementation of new interline, through check-in and codeshare partnerships.
  • Test and validate Passenger Service System integrations with airline partners.
  • Configure and maintain codeshare schedule publication and ongoing schedule synchronisation.
  • Support approximately 138 interline partners through testing, troubleshooting and operational support.
  • Manage production system configuration changes with a strong focus on operational accuracy and system integrity.
  • Lead or support Passenger Service System migration projects involving interline, codeshare and schedule integration.
  • Perform detailed system testing, document test strategies and execute user acceptance testing for new functionality.
  • Maintain Carrier Preferred Display (CPD) rules to maximise commercial performance across GDS channels and Etihad.com.
  • Manage class mapping updates, passenger reaccommodation activities and schedule adjustments following network changes.
  • Investigate and resolve production issues in partnership with Amadeus and other technology providers to minimise commercial disruption.
  • Support the implementation of Lufthansa Systems SchedConnect and contribute to the successful migration from AirVision.
  • Share technical expertise with colleagues and help develop team capability on new alliance systems and technologies.

Qualifications

What we're looking for:

Essential

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working with airline commercial or operational systems.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Amadeus Passenger Service System (PSS).
  • Excellent understanding of codeshare operations and publication processes.
  • Experience implementing and supporting interline agreements.
  • Knowledge of schedule publication and airline schedule integration.
  • Experience working directly within live production systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage complex technical processes with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to build productive relationships with internal stakeholders and external airline partners.

Highly Desirable

  • Experience with Lufthansa Systems SchedConnect.
  • Experience with AirVision or comparable airline scheduling platforms.
  • Previous experience with Sabre scheduling or other airline schedule management solutions.
  • Experience supporting major airline systems migrations or technology transformation projects.
