Job Description

To manage and deliver strategic corporate communications across internal, external, executive and media channels. The role is responsible for developing compelling communications that support the Group's corporate priorities, protecting and enhancing the company's reputation, managing relationships with key stakeholders and media, and delivering integrated communications strategies across major business initiatives, product launches and operational events. The role requires exceptional writing ability, strong strategic judgement, and the confidence to advise senior leaders in a fast-paced, high-profile environment.

Accountabilities

  • Develop and deliver integrated communications strategies supporting major corporate announcements, financial results, product launches, strategic initiatives and business priorities. 
  • Develop and oversee high-quality communications across internal, external, executive and digital channels, ensuring messaging is aligned with corporate strategy and brand positioning. 
  • Act as a trusted communications adviser to senior stakeholders and executive leadership, providing strategic counsel on messaging, reputation management and stakeholder engagement. 
  • Draft executive speeches, media messaging, briefing documents, presentations and thought leadership content for the Executive Leadership Team.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with international media, proactively identifying opportunities to enhance the Group's corporate reputation and profile. 
  • Lead communications planning and delivery for complex, high-profile and cross-functional projects, coordinating multiple stakeholders to ensure successful execution. 
  • Support crisis and issues management by developing holding statements, executive messaging and media responses during operational disruptions and major incidents. 
  • Measure communications effectiveness and identify opportunities to continually improve communications strategies, channels and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

  • Higher Education/Degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing or a related discipline.. 
  • Minimum five years' experience in corporate communications, public relations, journalism or a communications agency environment. Experience in aviation, travel or hospitality is advantageous.
  • Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills, with the ability to produce high-quality communications under pressure. 
  • Experience developing content across internal, external and digital communications channels. 
  • Experience supporting media relations, executive communications and corporate communications initiatives. 
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships and provide communications advice across the business. 
  • Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Strong presentation and administrative skills. 
  • Flexible and willing to support operational requirements outside normal working hours, including during major announcements and operational disruptions.
