Job Description
Synopsis
The Technical Contracts Officer will support the end-to-end sourcing and contract management lifecycle for aviation technical services, including aircraft base maintenance, component maintenance and repair, and engineering service contracts.
The role will work closely with Engineering and Maintenance teams to define technical requirements, coordinate tendering activities with Procurement, and support post-award contract administration to ensure effective supplier performance and compliance.
Accountabilities
- Support Engineering and Maintenance teams in the preparation of sourcing requests, including defining detailed technical specifications and scope of work prior to RFP/RFQ issuance
- Coordinate sourcing and tendering (RFP/RFQ) activities in collaboration with the Procurement function within Finance
- Ensure alignment between technical requirements and commercial evaluation criteria
- Participate in supplier evaluation, negotiation, and contract award processes
- Assist in drafting and reviewing contractual documentation and agreements
- Post-award, support technical teams with:
- Contract administration and execution
- Managing amendments, variations, and claims
- Ensuring compliance with contract terms and SLAs
- Support the Cost Control team with reporting requirements and assist in resolving commercial and contractual disputes
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Minimum Diploma (2 years or more)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in aviation technical department, preferred procurement and contracts
- Familiarity with aviation technical services, including Aircraft Base Maintenance, Component Maintenance and Repair / Pooling, Engineering and Technical Service Contracts
- Experience working within airlines, MROs, or aviation service providers is preferred
- Strong negotiation and analytical skills
- Good understanding of contract terms and legal frameworks
- Ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management
- Proficiency in procurement systems and MS Office tools
- High attention to detail and commercial awareness
