Job Description
Join Etihad Airways and play a vital role in supporting our Airport Operations team. As an Administrator, you will provide administrative and operational support to a fast-paced function responsible for managing transit and emergency visa processes for guests travelling through Abu Dhabi.
This position is based at Zayed International Airport and operates on a mandatory 24/7 rotational shift pattern comprising 12-hour shifts (2 day shifts, 2 night shifts, followed by 4 days off). Candidates must be comfortable working both day and night shifts as part of a continuous operational environment.
Working within this operational setting, you will coordinate a range of administrative activities, process documentation, liaise with internal and external stakeholders, and ensure the accurate handling of government-related applications and records. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented UAE National who enjoys working in a dynamic airport environment and thrives on delivering exceptional service.
Please note: This is an operational airport-based role and is not a standard office-hours position. Successful candidates will work a rotating 12-hour shift schedule supporting a 24/7 operation.
Accountabilities
- Process and review administrative documentation, applications and records in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Support the administration of transit visa, emergency visa and related operational processes.
- Prepare reports, summaries and documentation required by the business.
- Coordinate submissions and follow-up activities with government entities and external stakeholders where required.
- Respond to routine enquiries from internal and external customers in a professional and timely manner.
- Maintain accurate records, databases and filing systems while ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
- Use a range of business systems and software applications to manage daily activities and reporting requirements.
- Monitor and track applications, documentation and approvals to ensure service standards are met.
- Assist with administrative projects and operational initiatives as required.
- Support team members in maintaining smooth day-to-day operations within a shift-based environment.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- UAE National (with Family Book).
- High School Certificate with a minimum of 2 years’ relevant administrative experience, or a Bachelor’s Degree with no prior experience required.
- Previous experience in administration, customer service, government liaison, documentation processing or related support functions is advantageous.
- Experience preparing or submitting applications to government entities is preferred.
- Strong communication skills in both Arabic and English.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks accurately.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and general business systems.
- Must be willing and able to work a rotational 24/7 shift pattern, including day shifts, night shifts, weekends and public holidays.
- Experience working in an operational, customer-facing or airport environment is advantageous.
