Job Description
Direct operational responsibility for service delivery performance for cargo warehouse, freighter ramp, and road feeder services at stations within a designated area.
Responsible to manage locally based Etihad Cargo teams – internal and external - via implementation of effective SGHA/SLA and KPI monitoring ensuring that service delivery standards and achievement of procedural compliance is maintained across the area and well aligned with Commercial expectations and product development.
Accountabilities
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with service providers, ramp handlers, GSAs, commercial teams, and airport authorities to ensure adequate resourcing and drive On-Time Departure (OTP) performance, particularly for freighter and RFS operations.
- Lead best practice implementation to maximize flight capacity utilization and continuously improve operational processes, focusing on reducing UTLs, discrepancies, and offloads.
- Manage resource allocation across stations, including deployed Etihad Cargo staff, ensuring optimal utilization in line with operational peaks and troughs.
- Oversee Premium Elite, VIP, and SHS shipments to achieve FAB targets, Cargo iQ, and eAWB performance goals.
- Provide operational oversight of GHA ramp interfaces and freighter/charter operations in challenging environments to improve overall operational performance.
- Implement performance measurement tools and KPIs to monitor flight, resource, and service effectiveness, identifying areas for improvement with internal and external stakeholders.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with Safety (SMS), Security, Dangerous Goods regulations, and Etihad Cargo procedures.
- Coordinate with government authorities to ensure regulatory compliance and smooth cargo processing.
- Lead investigations into cargo-related safety occurrences, ensuring root cause analysis and effective corrective actions.
- Support Regional Cargo Sales and Premium Elite teams through customer engagement at key stations to enhance service quality and customer experience.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5-7 years of work experience and experience of Cargo market with strong customer knowledge
- Extensive experience in Logistics market with strong customer knowledge
- Fluent English - both written and spoken is essential
- Strong cargo commercial experience, basic Knowledge and experience with GHA/warehouse handling.
