Job Description

Synopsis

The Engine Life Cycle Data Analyst supports the Engine Management Team by performing detailed analyses of engine and APU life-cycle data, shop visit forecasts, maintenance cost drivers, and budget performance. The role is responsible for maintaining accurate databases and dashboards, analyzing plan outputs for trends and variances, tracking engine/APU invoices, and supporting the budgeting and reporting processes. The analyst ensures high-quality data visibility to enable optimized engine life cycle decisions, cost control, and compliance with internal and contractual requirements.

 Accountabilities

  • Analyze engine and APU life cycle outputs: shop visit forecasts, utilization trends, workscoping impacts, and cost projections.
  • Maintain databases, dashboards, and trackers for engine/APU costs, shop visits, maintenance reserves, and budget performance.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual reports: variance analysis, budget vs. actual tracking, KPIs, and management presentations.
  • Analyze end-of-lease engine/APU data: calculate compensation, confirm redelivery conditions, monitor utilization, and forecast liabilities.
  • Maintain leased engine/APU database with key commercial, technical, and lifecycle parameters.
  • Ensure contract compliance: align data with lease obligations, workscope restrictions, return conditions, and utilization reporting.
  • Identify data inconsistencies, trends, risks, and cost-saving opportunities; recommend actions to the Manager Engine Life Cycle & Budgeting.
  • Drive automation and process improvements for data accuracy, faster reporting, and better forecasting.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Degree in Data Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Aerospace, Finance, Engineering, or related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in data analysis, cost analysis, or aviation technical roles.
  • Airline, Engine, or MRO experience preferred.

Skills

  • Strong skills in Excel, Power BI, AI Analytics, SQL, and data visualization.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail and ability to interpret technical and financial information.
