Synopsis

To define and lead the global cargo operations strategy, ensuring alignment with Etihad’s long-term business objectives and competitive positioning; To establish governance and performance frameworks that deliver safety, compliance, service quality, and cost efficiency across the network; To champion innovation and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational scalability, sustainability, and customer experience.

Accountabilities

• Recommend plans related to operational efficiencies and effectiveness, and execute growth of Cargo Operations in line with overall airline growth while achieving and maintaining the highest possible service levels for all customers.
• In consultation with the Chief Cargo Officer, creates and sets future strategy for the business needs ensuring requirements are identified and represented. Develop the department’s strategy in terms of customer focus, growth and expected results or KPIs that positions Etihad Cargo as a carrier of choice.
• Develops and drives operational efficiencies in processes and oversees implementation within Etihad Cargo.
• Strategic responsibility to develop, implement, measure and monitor network operational compliance.
• Provides pro-active leadership in performance reporting on hub operations and within the network. Manages organisational growth strategy and skill/personnel requirements and development.
• Leads a continuous improvement effort in internal processes in operations and administration to ensure Etihad Cargo’s capability to be and maintain status as cargo provider of choice. Lead, develop, implement and manage strategic business initiatives to achieve corporate cargo objectives for sustained and profitable growth.
• Identifies needs and devises solutions for analytical and automated management to increase the service levels and generate additional revenues.
• Oversee vigorous cargo operational safety, security and quality through regular audits and observations. Ensures compliance with all safety and security regulations and policies.

Education & Experience

• University degree or postgraduate business MBA or similar discipline
• Post holder must have a minimum of 15 years air cargo leadership experience, driving and delivering business objectives through best practices.
• A comprehensive air cargo professional, well aware of business complexities
