Job Description
Senior Inventory Planner is responsible to lead team of planners and ensure planning and coordination for materials (aircraft spares, Cabin & BFE, IFE, Tools) required to support unscheduled and scheduled aircraft maintenance, in most cost-effective manner.
Accountabilities
- Monitor and ensure spares availability for all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities and ensure procurement is executed in a timely manner.
- Monitor provisioning activities and recommend stocking techniques for rotable, consumable, tools in inventory. Ensure service levels are maintained to meet department KPI.
- Ensure optimization of inventory to make correct balance of investment vis stock holding or pool or consignment contract.
- Identify the surplus inventory and recommend the disposal actions.
- Ensure shelf-life & scrap transactions are monitored, and replenishment actions are initiated in timely manner.
- Ensure spares in discrepancies are monitored and corrective & preventive actions are implemented.
- Monitor and support spares requirements for new aircraft induction, return to service and end of lease projects.
- Responsible for preparing and managing various Inventory holding and controlling related reports and dashboards.
- Monitor spare support contracts to ensure contractual service levels are achieved.
- Assist to prepare annual spend budget for technical spares requirements and monitor the same.
- Support in developing processes & departmental manuals and keeping them up to date and in compliance with regulators and organizational requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or equivalent technical degree or minimum 5 years aviation inventory management experience.
- Experience & tracked record in aircraft technical material planning, procurement, supplier management functions with team management.
- Preferred experience on Fleet type A320, A330, A350, A380
- Recommended to have understanding of technical manuals like IPC, ITEM and MPD and familiar with RSPLs, W-File, spare repair and warranty, OEM support contracts like SSC and PSAA along with lease return requirements.
- A self-motivated, highly enthusiastic and passionate team player with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- A resilient candidate with ability to adapt to different and multicultural environments & work under pressure.
- Advance level MS Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI knowledge with excellent in written and verbal communication skills.
