As an Airside Operations Quality Officer, you will support the Manager, Hub Safety and Compliance in providing ground safety and quality oversight function at AUH. You will provide coaching, guidance, and SME support across Ground Operations, including Guest Services, Ramp, Baggage and Cargo Operations. You will drive the frontline delivery of the Etihad Safety Management System (SMS) through the Etihad Airport Services teams.

Accountabilities

  • Monitoring workplace activities to ensure employees and contracted service providers comply with Etihad Airways, other airlines and ADAC policies, safety procedures and regulatory requirements, covering all ground Operation related activities and principles including Aircraft Handling, Fuelling, Cargo Operations, Dangerous Goods, Catering Operations, Winter Operations and AVSEC.
  • Conducting inspections in accordance with the relevant airlines’ procedures, providing coaching and guidance and liaising with the appropriate duty managers on non-compliances identified during their shift to ensure appropriate follow action is taken.
  • To act as the incident responder airside at Abu Dhabi International Airport providing leadership and initial response management to all reported events, informing the management, liaising with ADAC and initiating an investigation when required or requested by any member of the Etihad Safety management team.
  • Providing support for all corporate audits (Internal Audit, S&Q, OAL & Regulatory etc.) at the AUH Hub. Providing Subject Matter Expert (SME) guidance to the Operational teams in preparing for audits.
  • Supporting the identification and mitigation of safety risks associated with change management, conducting hazard identification and risk assessments as required. e.g. the introduction of new aircraft types.
  • Escalating medium or higher-level risks to executive level personnel to ensure effective NPH Ground Operations oversight.
  • Conducting safety investigations in accordance with company standards.
  • Responsible for the development of sustainable corrective actions through the investigation process.
  • Developing and delivering safety and compliance related promotional material and campaigns for AUH Hub delivery ensuring the principles of the Etihad.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • At least 3 years of airline experience or at least 2 years working in Etihad within the scopes of ground or cargo operations
