Job Description

The Catering Systems Manager is responsible for owning and overseeing the strategic roadmap, functionality, integrity, and optimization of the catering management system across the network and overall technology vision for the Catering Operations business. Act as the functional authority for catering systems, defining standards, governance, and design principles across all catering operations. Ensures seamless integration of processes, accurate data governance, and effective system utilization to support operational efficiency, compliance, and strategic objectives.

Accountabilities

•    Oversee the Catering Operations digital and innovation roadmap including optimising the use and functionality of the core catering management system (CMS) and related applications in liaison with respective SME’s ensuring uptime, data integrity, and security. 

•    Translate evolving catering business needs into system capability requirements, ensuring scalability and long‑term sustainability.

•    Incorporate new technologies and data collection sources into the Catering Operations business in partnership with the SMEs, internal and external partners and internal business reporting teams to improve efficiency of processes and return on investment in food and beverage delivery to customers

•    Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimise system utilisation, automation, and process efficiency across the catering function.

•    Implement system updates, patches, and enhancements in collaboration with IT and vendors

•    Oversight of team to provide technical and functional support to catering and network teams and troubleshoot system issues and ensure timely resolution to minimize operational disruptions

•    Ensure the integrity, reliability, and performance of the catering management system, including automated functionalities such as waste management and supplier integrations.

•    Manage existing automation and proof-of-concept (POC) initiatives to enhance system capabilities

•    Manage change control and approvals for all EY Food & Handling Menu/Pricing specifications within the data warehouse system plus management of the team that operationalises the system with new caterer set-up, daily menu management and configuration of new processes on the back of project roll-outs

•    Manage the sourcing, cleaning and sharing of evolving data sources, making them available for the team to support best practise supplier management (dynamic status reporting, benchmarking, trend analysis) , cost management (forecasting and gap analysis) and NPS analysis (trend analysis based on multiple data sources).

•    Develop and maintain a self-audit program to ensure robust process controls and compliance frameworks through system reporting.

•    Manage the integration of new catering management systems, including user acceptance testing (UAT), planning, user training and deployment.

•    Develop and deliver training programs for staff and suppliers on all system modules.

Drive the development and maintenance of the catering systems innovation roadmap, focusing on process optimization and alignment with industry best practices and EY’s strategic direction.

Qualifications

•    Bachelor’s degree level qualification in relevant subject (business and computer science preferred) 
•    Minimum 7yrs years relevant experience experience in managing IT systems. (Preferred catering systems).
