Etag is seeking a Sr. DevOps Engineer who will be responsible for managing and keeping our skills marketplace application up and running, as well as building out our infrastructure to support future platform applications. Your work will directly impact the experience users have with our products.

• Work closely with the engineering and product management teams

• Ensure security of the production, systems and applications for an AWS infrastructure with the current software stack: Flask, RDS (MySQL), CDN w/Amazon CloudFront, PlayFramework, Cassandra, ElasticSearch

• Implement, administer, and maintain our databases, local and cloud-based servers including provisioning, backups and restores, upgrades, and monitoring

• Assist with other web development with Python, Flask and algorithm development as needed

• Build and manage development and testing environments, assisting developers in debugging application issues using tools

• Lead the building of tools and processes to support the infrastructure

• Lead the creation of blueprints for customer data integration

• Leverage scripting to build required automation and tools on an ad hoc basis

• Operate the platform within our security and privacy guidelines

• Learn on the job and explore new technologies with little supervision

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent

• 3 - 5 Years of Systems Engineering experience

• 3+ years of development experience

• Excellent organization and communication skills.

• Solid experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) technologies such as EC2, RDS, DynamoDB and S3

• Prior experience with Spring, Hibernate

• Skills with automation, using scripting and tools like Splunk

• Experience with monitoring systems (e.g. Nagios, BMC)

• Java or Ruby development experience

• Linux administration experience (e.g. Ubuntu, RedHat/CentOS) with a focus on web (Apache/Nginx)

• Understanding of protocols/technologies like HTTP, SSL, LDAP, JDBC, Servlet/JSP, SQL, HTML, XML

• Application clustering / load balancing concepts and technologies
