Job Description

The Payroll and Benefits Manager is responsible for providing lead technical and operational support to the HR Management. The role is primarily responsible for collating and submitting all UK and other designated country monthly payroll information, managing the benefits providers and memberships.

Act as main point of contact for day to day queries related to payroll and benefits.

Duties and responsibilities:

Payroll

· Leads the design and delivery of all appropriate payroll processes for assigned countries

· Collate information for the UK payroll and liaise with the external payroll accountants on timely basis

· Be accountable for the accuracy and monthly timetable

· Be pragmatic and offer advice and guidance in regards to queries from stakeholders of all levels, including leaders where appropriate

· Provide expert contribution to yearly salary reviews and bonus scheme(s)

· Liaise with the Finance team to coordinate various monthly reconciliations

· Manage all necessary payroll pre-checks and ensure readiness for the Senior Management approval

· Ensure accuracy (up-to-date and complete) of employees’ records at all times and in compliance with GDPR and local regulations, auditing, and non-discrimination laws

· May be responsible for Line Management should the payroll function continue to expand

Benefits Administration:

· Maintain membership lists for employee benefits

· Manage joiners and leavers to the company pension scheme

· Support and liaise with benefits providers

· Assist with benefits benchmarking, analysis and reporting

· Create a portfolio to present all benefits to new joiners as part of the onboarding process and finding innovative ways to promote the benefits packages to all employees

· Review provider costs for best value

· Take the lead with annual benefits renewals

· Ad hoc project work as required

Qualifications

·       Comprehensive knowledge of payroll processing and strong understanding of statutory requirements, deductions and payments

·       Demonstrated experience in UK benefits. Knowledge in international benefits schemes would be an advantage

·       Ability to clearly communicate Payroll and Benefits information to all stakeholders, the payroll accountants and benefits providers

·       Advanced analytical and excel skills

·       Previous experience in an international environment/working within a global team

·       Hands on experience with HRIS or payroll systems 

·       Ability to multitask and prioritise workload

·       Collaborative Team player

·       Highly organised and able to maintain confidentiality
