Job Description

Overall requirement:

  • To work within an increasingly global IT team supporting an ambitious growth plan for the Ergomed business.
  • To provide technical expertise in a growing IT team in a number of areas as Ergomed shifts its on-premise workloads to SaaS / IaaS.  
  • To provide third level problem and incident management.
  • To deploy new solutions which are suitably teststed and documented for handover to the service operations team to manage and run.
  • To support technology lifecycle management

Qualifications

Expertise in multiple technology areas, ideally at least four of the following: -

-          Server environments, especially Windows Server 2012 and higher.

-          Microsoft 365 including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive.

-          SCCM / Intune / Autopilot

-          Endpoint security / data loss prevention (DLP).

-          Virtualisation technologies, especially Hyper-V

-          Telephony, especially unified communications, and contact centre.

-          Security – e.g., firewall / antivirus / encryption / intrusion detection

-          Backup / restore

-          Disaster recovery

-          Storage solutions – SAN / NAS

-          SQL Server / Oracle database

 

Desired skills

- Familiarity with building and migrating services in cloud-based platforms (Azure/AWS)

- Working knowledge of ITIL processes

- Knowledge of working in a highly regulated industry, especially Pharmaceutical / Life Sciences.

- Integration and automation of tasks between diverse platforms.

- Willing to become SME for one or two critical business applications.
