Job Description

Position Summary

The IT Business Analyst will utilize his/her strong technical competencies and functional business expertise to identify, evaluate, design, and develop systems and procedures that meet business user requirements. To do this successfully he/she will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business needs, and with the IT engineering team to provide technical solutions. Ability to understand business process requirements & issues and communicate system solutions to the internal stakeholders is essential to the success in this role. Project Management skills and customer service orientation is key. This individual will partner with IT leadership and act as a trusted technology advisor to the Director, IT PMO. He/she will be a key IT member who will support Project Managers and the Engineering team have clarity on the documentation needs and the business challenge we are addressing with an IT project.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Prioritize, gather, and elicit requirements from various stakeholders in the Ergomed PLC business.
  • Communicate, translate, and simplify business requirements to ensure buy-in from all stakeholders.
  • Conducts interviews to gather customer requirements via workshops, questionnaires, surveys, site visits, workflow storyboards, use cases, scenarios, and other methods.
  • Creates process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to Engineering team and/or the project team.
  • Translates conceptual customer requirements into functional requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible to developers/project team.
  • Communicates changes, enhancements, and modifications of business requirements — verbally or through written documentation — to project managers, sponsors, and other stakeholders so that issues and solutions are understood.

  • Work with the Project Managers and Engineering teams to ensure that they understand the specifications and documentation is developed in a timely manner.
  • Conduct business process modeling and generate applicable scenarios for the technology functionality.

Qualifications

Experience

  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst.
  • Proven experience with business and technical requirements analysis, elicitation, modeling, verification, and methodology development.
  • Demonstrated project management skills and project management software skills, including planning, organizing, and managing resources
  • Experience in SDLC and methodologies associated with it (Scrum, Agile)
  • Expertise in process mapping and modelling.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to effectively facilitate and bring together medium/large sized cross-functional teams with different viewpoints during brainstorming discussions.
  • Ability to balance multiple tasks/priorities, consistently meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial.
  • Experience in the Life Science industry a plus.

Skills

  • Advanced knowledge of process mapping tools.
  • Working knowledge of Project Management tools (JIRA, Asana, MS Project)
  • Experience designing and developing technical documentation for regulated software applications.
  • Working knowledge of .NET, APIs and Webhooks.
  • Knowledge of Web development methodologies like SCRUM, Agile, and Waterfall.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Knowledge of Web development methodologies like SCRUM, Agile, and Waterfall.
  • Understanding of ITIL and SAFe frameworks. ITIL certified a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suites and Office 365.
  • Proficient at using diagram software Visio/Draw.io/Gliffy.
  • Proficient using Project tracking software (JIRA, Fresh Service, ServiceNow).
