Job Description

We are looking for a SAS Programmer on a one year fixed term contract initially.

SAS Programmer within the ERGOMED Data Management (DM) department are responsible for creation, maintenance and integrity of the clinical database, programming of edit checks as defined in the specifications for the project. The SAS programmer within ERGOMED DM represents a position under direction of the Head of Data Management and working alongside the Data Manager of a project.

Duties and responsibilities of the SAS Database Developer are:

  • Work with the Data Manager (DM) with the creation of the clinical database.
  • Extract Data from EDC systems.
  • Program, test and validate edit checks.
  • Combine external data with the clinical database in cooperation with the Statistical Programmer.
  • Export data from the clinical database to authorized recipients (e.g. in CDISC SDTM format)
  • Assist in the database lock and unlock procedure in coordination with the DM.
  • Provide validated data exports from the EDC system or clinical database to authorized recipients (e.g. related to SAE Reconciliation and medical coding where applicable.

 

Qualifications

  • Experience within the Pharmaceutical, Biotech or CRO sectors is required.
  • Effective verbal & written communication skills in a cross functional environment.
  • Knowledge of programming within SAS.
  • Experience working with CDISC - specifically converting eCRFs/raw data to SDTM format.
  • Logical thinking and questioning quality of deliverables.
