Job Description

The Associate Director of Contracts will be responsible for leading, managing and overseeing the Contracts deliverables of Ergomed PLC:

 Key responsibilities:

Overall responsibility for the coordination of the contracts development process for all awarded projects plus oversight for contract negotiation of CDAs & MSAs across both Ergomed CRO (full service) and PrimeVigilance (pharmacovigilance)..

Key activities include, but are not limited t

Preparing contract text to accurately reflect the Scope of Work described within an RFP and presented in final work order to the customer.

Ensuring accurate Contract Renewal budgets are generated and negotiated with the clients for PrimeVigilance services.

Proactively tracking contract renewal periods for PrimeVigilance, preparing budgets for future contract years ahead of time, and providing renewal projections to Senior Management.

Delivering final documents, to be submitted to the customer, ensuring the highest quality standards and provide on or before the deadline date.

Administer contracts and PrimeVigilance renewals, ensuring compliance with company policies and acting as a focus point for all communication with legal, finance, and business teams, for resolution of contract issues.

Leading the negotiation of legal contracting text i.e. Master Services agreements with direction and support from Legal Counsel.

Key customer interface for assigned customer renewals, ensuring consistency in budget and contracting approach, tracking agreed metrics, negotiating specific contract terms and durations, updating contracts directly with customers, and acting as escalation point to resolve any issues;

Line Management of team members, including Contracts Managers & Associates, with responsibilities for recruitment, training, assigning and directing work, appraising performance and guiding professional development; addressing employee relations issues and resolving problems.

Ensuring high quality standards across all departmental documents by performing and requesting quality review on contract documents prior to customer submission;

Liaising with Finance to monitor contract invoicing and investigate budget variances. Initiate and/or review proposed contract modifications and negotiate or refer to other internal departments for review as appropriate. 

 

Qualifications

Ideally a Bachelor’s degree in Life science, business management and previous experience in contracts management (minimum 5 years).

Previous experience of line management (minimum 2 years).

Knowledge of the CRO industry, preferably of the Pharmacovigilance industry.

Knowledge of developing Pharmacovigilance budgets and change order/renewal process

Excellent standard of English language (native speaker ideally).

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Excellent attention to detail and organisation skills.

Strong line management and project management skills.

Strong analytical skills for understanding costing models.

Proficient user of Microsoft Office Applications (word, excel).
