Job Description
The Safety Database Associate will work as part of the Safety System Administrator Team performing database administration activities; implementation and support of client enterprises; management of client enterprise change control; support of system integrated applications (OBIEE, Argus Insight Axway); supporting data migration activities and providing first line user support/troubleshooting.
- Provide support to pharmacovigilance systems (Argus 7.x on premise and Argus 8.x Oracle Cloud) and associated application integrations (eg OBIEE, Argus Insight, Axway)
- First line support for PV systems requests and incidents.
- First line support to end users (internal and external).
- Responsible for new client enterprise creation, configuration and validation.
- Responsible for implementation of user accounts and provisioning access.
- Perform configuration of Business Configuration (Products, Licenses, Studies, Reporting Rules) and Code Lists.
- Perform periodic review of system and user accounts
- Provide support for Axway incidents and requests for client setup.
- Assist with client data transfers.
- Liase with Oracle Support to resolve incidents including but not limited to urgent bug fixes, patches and enhancement request.
- Assist with pharmacovigilance specific projects, dictionary upgrades, system upgrades and/or patches
- Accept project assignments as delegated by senior staff, as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or relevant experience
- (2+ years) Demonstrated knowledge and experience supporting the Oracle Argus Safety system (on premise or cloud-based)
- (2+ years) Demonstrated knowledge and experience supporting Oracle Argus Safety system integrations (eg OBIEE, Argus Insight, Axway)
- Ability to translate end user specifications into system functional requirements
- Strong working knowledge of GxP software applications
- Understanding of related, underlying technologies, including SQL, Oracle, XML, etc.
- Hardware/software infrastructure setup and validation
- Possess a working knowledge of development tools, practices and lifecycle methodologies
- Possess good organization and communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks.
