Job Description

Key duties and responsibilities (not exhaustive):

1)  Group reporting

-          Oversee subsidiary month end submissions in group reporting software

-          Review and reconcile sub and top-level consolidations – resolve differences

-          Prepare variance analysis, commentary and month end board papers

-          Oversee intercompany trading and reconciliations

-          Develop insightful management information using financial and non-financial data

-          Develop expertise and champion group reporting software

 

2)  Statutory reporting

-          Help prepare IFRS compliant financial statements for audit

-          Liaise with group entities to prepare financial statement disclosures

-          Prepare group audit working papers and supporting documents

-          Help manage the group annual and half year reporting timetable

-          Support audit query resolutions

 

3)  Treasury and Tax

-          Prepare short and medium-term cash forecasting for the group including repatriation of cash

-          Support the Head of Group Reporting in optimising cash and deposit yields and hedging foreign currency risk in line with the Treasury policy

-          Help manage banking compliance (mandates, debt covenants, credit exposures, etc)

-          Monitor group tax compliance and help implement new tax strategies

 

4)  Other

-          Work with local finance teams to support the integration of newly acquired entities

-          Support management/administration of group share option arrangements

-          Complete and report on periodic internal finance control reviews

-          Help prepare Audit Committee documents

-          Support the financial integration of acquired businesses

-          Monitor group insurance and risk exposures

Qualifications

 

Desired Skills and Experience:

-          ACA or ACCA qualified, 2-3 years PQE

-          Top ten audit experience

-          Knowledge of IFRS statutory accounts and disclosures

-          Industry consolidation and reporting experience

-          Prophix and/or Sage X3 system experience a bonus
