Job Description

PrimeVigilance is continuing to expand and is looking for an experienced Pharmacovigilance (PV) Manager to strengthen the Data and Database Management unit. 

Based in our office in Guildford, the PV Manager will be responsible for frontend database activities including but not limited to: 

  • Business Intelligence – preparation of various business reports using business intelligence tools (Business Objects, Cognos, OBIEE)
  • Periodic and Aggregate Report Management – oversight and/or execution of various database reports/outputs
  • Data Quality Management – ensuring data consistency, quality and suitability for accurate and reliable periodic reports 
  • Database set-up support (support to IT/safety systems unit) 
  • Support for validation of computerized systems 
  • Support for data migration between databases 
  • Preparation and maintenance of controlled documents relating to data and database management 
  • Management of long term engagements with our clients.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record of 4+ years in Pharmacovigilance and/or data management activities including; working experience with SQL, working experience with one or more business intelligence tools (Business Objects, Cognos, OBIEE), working Argus database experience. 
  • Be comfortable with communicating at senior levels within pharmaceutical organisations 
  • Have good leadership qualities including skills in planning, mentoring, meeting facilitation, communication and problem solving. 
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Visio and Project preferred 
  • Previous experience within a service provider environment preferred
