Company Description
Responsible for providing oversight and direction for the Center Standards team. Ensures the accurate administration of the Center's Behavior Management System to ensure PRH compliance.
Job Description
- Provides supervision to the Center Standards team; coaches and ensures the timely delivery of departmental services.
- Ensures staff is thoroughly trained In the use of the Behavior Management System.
- Provides effective communication for informing staff about actions taken with students.
- Requests authorization for calling Fact Finding Board (FFB) according to the Policy and Requirement Handbook and Center Policies.
- Conducts timely investigations of student misconduct and documents all relevant information.
- issues appropriate sanctions according to approved Student Handbook and DOL policies.
- Establishes process to determine whether sanctions have been completed.
- Establishes communication network for reporting to students, staff and management the results of each day's activities.
- Submits all reports accurately and within established time frames.
- Files significant incidents within the time frame and tracks and submits follow up reports.
- Communicates regularly with parents, guardians, and the courts to assist with behavior issues or to notify and explain a student's removal from the center due to Zero Tolerance, disruptive behavior, or safety reasons.
- Maintains log of communication with parents, guardians, and courts regarding student behavior.
- Meets with new students to provide training in the Behavior Management System and Zero Tolerance Policies.
- Provides regularly scheduled training for participants of the Fact-Finding Boards
- Trains staff and students for participation on the Fact-Finding Boards.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, and individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Related experience In Juvenile Justice or Human Service.
Education:
A degree from a four-year college or university and/or related experience in Juvenile Justice or Human Service.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Valid State Driver’s License.
