Job Description

PURPOSE

Responsible for overseeing and managing various IT projects from initiation to completion. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, as well as a deep understanding of project management methodologies and IT processes.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Planning and Initiation

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation. 

Team Leadership

  • Lead and motivate cross-functional teams, ensuring effective collaboration and communication.
  • Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members based on their skills and strengths.

Risk Management

  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Proactively address issues that may impact project timelines or deliverables.

Budget Management

  • Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effective resource allocation.
  • Monitor expenses and report on budget status to stakeholders.

Quality Assurance

  • Establish and enforce quality standards for project deliverables.
  • Conduct regular reviews to ensure compliance with project requirements.

Communication

  • Maintain open and transparent communication with project stakeholders.
  • Provide regular updates on project progress, milestones, and challenges.

Vendor Management

  • Coordinate with external vendors and contractors to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Evaluate vendor performance and manage relationships effectively.

Change Management

  • Facilitate change management processes to address any changes in project scope or requirements.
  • Ensure all stakeholders are informed and prepared for changes.

Documentation

  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, meeting minutes, and status reports.
  • Ensure that all project documentation is accurate and up to date.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Proven experience as an IT Project Manager, with a track record of successful project delivery.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Solid technical background with the ability to understand and discuss IT concepts.
  • PMP or other relevant certifications are a plus.
