Job Description

We are looking for an energetic, creative, and enthusiastic Operations Administrator to join the Equinox team. This is a great position for candidates looking to make a significant impact in a growing and dynamic organization. Responsible for the daily administration, reporting, and support of compliance related activities in assigned club(s) within the United States. The Operations Administrator will directly report to the Compliance Manager and indirectly report to the Head of Compliance. Ideal candidate must work well in a dynamic, fast paced, high growth environment.

Essential Functions:

  • Communicates effectively to ensure conformity and adherence with all applicable state and federal laws, and state regulations.
  • Provides administrative support at club level with labor compliance, wage & hour compliance, payroll administration, Equinox policies & procedures, etc.
  • Manages the daily, weekly and monthly preparation, reconciliation and maintenance of key operational reports and metrics pertaining to compliance to present to upper management.
  • Responsible for interpreting data and making recommendations to upper management.
  • Remains abreast of company and departmental policies, regulatory changes, industry standards and best practices.
  • Recommends and assists in updating and communicating compliance procedures in accordance with company standards.
  • Escalates risks, issues or concerns to upper management and Compliance Manager.
  • Provides clerical and administrative support to clubs when necessary.
  • In club point person for daily function of club time clocks.
  • Attends and participates in meetings as required.

Key duties will include, but not limited to the following:

  • The daily time keeping reconciliation of certain hourly departments timekeeping records to ensure proper timekeeping procedures and ensure compliance in accordance with FLSA.
  • On a daily basis create, maintain and share reports with club managers.
  • Ensure payroll timekeeping records are updated and finalized by payroll deadlines.
  • Effectively communicate, via phone and via email with employees and managers regarding compliance

Qualifications

  • Successful candidates will have a minimum of 1-2 years of administrative experience and exposure to CA employment law is a plus
  • Takes ownership of work: Demonstrates initiative and is able to work independently.
  • Strong attention to detail and insistence on accuracy.
  • Communication, time management, and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to set priorities, organize time.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to effectively communicate to all levels in the organization.
  • Enthusiastic, energetic and personable. Has ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with high performance standards.
  • Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word & Excel).
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to perform all essential physical aspects of the position which may include standing, sitting, running, walking, jumping, squatting, bending, and reaching. As well as pushing, pulling and lifting up to 50 lbs at a time

Pay Transparency: $15-18.00/ per hour 

This is a seasonal part-time role and will not be benefits eligible.

This role is on-site.
