Equinox is currently seeking an innovative design & art direction lead on the Social team with experience working in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment. This role is heavily focused on ideation and execution from a design, art direction, video editing and motion graphics perspective. Ideally, the candidate should have 4-6 years, leading social design either in-house or agency side. A strong understanding of best practices and the changing landscape within all social and digital channels is a must.

This role reports in to the Art Director of Creative.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Creates social-first, narrative-driven content based on brand needs & initiatives as well as our core pillars – eventually leading in to the development of set content franchises
• Develops and maintains a robust social style guide alongside copy partner
• Concepts photo/video shoots, sources the right creative partners for execution & manages the pre-production and post process.
• Constantly brainstorming new ideas and thrives in rapid ideation sessions -- keeping in mind social trends and current events to bring relevance to our social presence
• Excels with video and animation, often times taking existing assets and turning them into exciting new content.
• Maintains the brand’s elevated visual identity, and advises on how to optimize for social
• Works collaboratively with the creative team as well as cross-functional partners to stay in the know and make sure social executions are complementary with executions on other channels.

• BA or equivalent in relevant field  
• 4-6 years experience, preferably in luxury level fashion, lifestyle or service-driven brands. 
• Excellent time management.  Able to hit deadlines and work in a fast-paced and agile environment.
• Ability to present concepts and communicate thought process 
• Self-motivation and accountability for work is essential
• Can-do attitude is a must

Technical Qualifications: 

• Must be proficient in After Effects and/or Adobe Premier in addition to InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, XD, Acrobat etc.
• Strong knowledge of best practices within web, app, organic and paid media
• Excellent typography and layout abilities
