As a Senior Software Engineer - Java you will be part of a new team within the Consumer Technology division at Equinox. This is an amazing opportunity to be part of a team that is creating a fitness technology platform from the ground up.

You will build features, design and implement APIs, and improve the performance and reliability of our systems as we scale the product and team. You will be a key member on the Consumer Technology team that works on highly impactful products that are used daily by our passionate end users.

Responsibilities

* Develop and deploy microservices using Java and Spring Boot framework

* Write clean, testable, and efficient code for a range of products and services

* Contribute to technical architecture to enable scalable and extensible solutions

* Understand business processes and map them to implementation

* Ensure up-to-date documentation for systems, applications, and procedures

* Collaborate within a cross-functional team to create solutions that address business needs

Qualifications

Desired Profile:

* 5+ years of software engineering experience

* Strong Core Java skills for implementing RESTful web services

* Experience architecting enterprise level, scalable solutions

* Thorough understanding of software development and testing life cycles.

* Well versed in AWS, specifically ECS, RDS, SQS, SNS, S3, Lambda, ElastiCache

* Knowledge of modern caching techniques

* Excellent problem solving and analytical skills

* Experience with containerized applications using Docker

* Experience programming relational databases

Nice to have:

* Experience with AWS API Gateway
