Job Description

The Senior Manager, Events at Equinox will be responsible for the ideation, coordination and production of all assigned internal corporate events throughout the course of the year. He/she will be meticulously detail oriented, motivated, flexible, a problem solver, engaged and interested in the brand, a self-starter and someone who isn’t afraid to get their hands dirty with the ability to navigate and manage fast pace situations and deadlines. The Senior Manager, Events will report directly to the Senior Vice President of Events and Philanthropy and must have a comprehensive understanding of the broad scope of work that fully encompasses what goes into creating, producing and executing flawless events. Travel is required 10-20%.

  • Conceptualize and lead early development of each assigned annual event, drive planning process and understand event scope
  • Build and manage press, industry and partner relationships with regards to planning assigned events
  • Contribute to the vision and creativity to assigned annual events
  • Involvement in venue scouting and contract negotiation
  • Budget management
  • Create weekly, monthly and yearly pipelines for all assigned events
  • Manage and provide support for all areas of event development including (but not limited to): catering, schedule, guest speakers, special presentations, AV, meeting space, travel and accommodations, presentation materials and event collateral for assigned events.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for all departments and vendors involved in the planning and execution process
  • Manage staff for and participate in set up and break down of all assigned events
  • Responsible for the coordination and transport of all assigned event related materials
  • Cultivate and preserve relationships with brand appropriate venues and vendors 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 5-7 years of previous event management experience
  • Solid demonstrated experience with all event logistics
  • Strong project management skills
  • Experience with budget management and reconciliation
  • Solutions oriented, detail oriented, multi-tasker
  • Ability to work and communicate well with c-level executives, team members and vendors
  • Practiced patience and zen attitude
  • Team oriented
  • Excellent computer and technology skills
