Job Description

The Operations Manager will support overall club operations and is an integral part of the management team. Responsibilities will include: 

Front Desk Management

  • Hire, train, motivate, supervise, coach and evaluate desk staff.
  • Front Desk staff scheduling and payroll.
  • Order and stock Front and Fitness Desk supplies.
  • Ensure all desk equipment is functioning.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of Front Desk, Fitness Desk and Reception area.

Customer Service

  • Respond to member concerns within 24 hours.
  • Tackle areas of opportunity from NPS surveys.
  • Handle member issues using Member Response Coach.

Club Maintenance

  • Ensure club is clean, photo-ready and safe.
  • Conduct scheduled club walkthroughs.
  • Maintain high visibility during peak club hours.

Oversight of Ancillary Services

  • Implement and execute Up System/Blue Sky and guest sign in.
  • Monitor and facilitate the Locker/Laundry sales and locker assignment.
  • Act as “renewal specialists” handling member renewals.

Club Capacity

  • Management coverage during off-peak hours.
  • Ensure proper shift coverage and appropriate attire in all departments.
  • Assist with flow of traffic during high GF class hours.

Qualifications

  • Qualified candidates must have proven leadership ability in an educational, fitness or professional settings with 1-2 years of management experience in a customer service business.
  • Must be enthusiastic, energetic, personable and friendly as well as passionate, intelligent and knowledgeable regarding the fitness industry.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to utilize new techniques and ideas are imperative. 
  • Must be available in early mornings and late evenings.
