As the Manager over mobile engineering, you will be responsible for mobile development across all of the Consumer Technology division.  Our passionate Equinox members experience our offerings primarily through our mobile applications and we in the midst of several acceleration projects to continue to grow our feature set.   Although your focus is mobile engineering, the best candidate will have a well-rounded technical skillset.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Own the standards, practices, and deliverables across Equinox’s line of mobile products and initiatives
• Provide architectural standards, development oversight, and deployment automation definition
• Hire, onboard, and lead a combined team of in-house and external mobile engineers
• Provide mentorship, oversight, and guidance to all mobile engineering staff
• Maintain effective standards through peer review process and test coverage
• Collaborate across application development teams to deliver performant and scalable mobile applications
• Maintain up-to-date documentation for systems and applications

REQUIRED

• A passion for building strong teams, killer products, and effective relationships
• 4+ years in technical leadership positions for mobile development
• 2+ years in direct management positions
• Expertise in both Android and iOS development
• Expertise in architecting and delivering scalable mobile applications, with an emphasis on performance
• Experience working within a service-oriented architecture and a strong understanding of core principles for API development and standard data store
• Experience working with agile methodologies

PREFERRED

• Experience architecting and developing for React Native applications
• Experience with PCI and GDPR compliance
• Knowledge of security best-practices
• A passion for fitness, health, and hospitality
