The Freelance Copywriter role will be full-time, based in New York and report directly into the Editor-In-Chief working with the editorial and creative teams to execute on the social and newsletter communication objectives for Furthermore.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1) Oversee the creation and curation of multiple newsletter products

-Work with editors to establish and optimize tone, format and frequency of each newsletter and define editorial best practices

• Bachelor’s Degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, Advertising or related field
• 5+ years of industry experience 
• Proven ability to distill sophisticated information into sharp, compelling copy
• Strong background and knowledge of copy development in multiple aspects of digital media, including newsletters and social media (Pinterest, Facebook, Instagram), web banner campaigns, email marketing, online advertising and web site content
• Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Self-starter with a passionate attitude 
• Excellent time management skills, with an ability to take ownership of your projects, deadlines, accuracy, and results
