Job Description
The Vice President of Marketing will drive the strategic development of global brand positioning and lead the overall marketing initiatives to drive revenue, improve market share, build brand loyalty and drive brand health exclusively for Equinox Hotels.
The Vice President will drive awareness with the brand's consumer segments leveraging on and offline advertising, brand and enterprise promotions, public relations, creative/digital channels to include social media. He/She will develop strategic brand programs that leverage luxury customer experiences supported by public relations, social media and relevant partnerships.
Major Responsibilities:
- Drive development of all global brand positioning elements including the brand identity, tone of voice and all creative assets.
- Oversee the strategy, planning and execution of the marketing plan including public relations, social media, partnerships, digital marketing activities and content strategy
- Lead development and on-going management of all digital and social media platforms
- Develop long-range RevPAR Index growth strategies supported by near term acquisition and loyalty plans
- Partner closely with Operations team to develop and activate brand experience standards including, but not limited to, brand service culture training & development
- Provide full range of support to Sales, Operations and Field teams to open all new hotels
- Closely collaborate with SVP of Design and Operations team to design and source OS&E.
- Lead development and marketing of guest experience across food + beverage, spa and fitness club programming
- Create brand guidelines and toolkits for local properties to maximize the global brand marketing initiatives
- Implement measurements of brand marketing campaigns to ensure effectiveness, usage and awareness
- Identify primary branding, advertising, media and public relations agencies and vendors
- Work with Human Resources, Legal and Finance leadership to ensure the overall strategic direction of the marketing team is consistent with and supported by these areas globally
- Oversee the recruitment, development and administration of the Marketing team
Qualifications
- 12+ years of consumer marketing experience with luxury and/or lifestyle brands. Must have client side or in-house experience.
- 5+ years of acquisition and/or loyalty based marketing
- Experience managing agencies and internal creative departments
- Creative eye for persuasive, provocative, effective communication
- Creative and analytical thinker who has a long track record of identifying and executing on successful integrated brand, events, social and/or PR campaigns. Must be able to blend and demonstrate both digital/social media savvy and traditional brand know-how
- Personal passion for health and fitness
- Experience and appreciation of local marketing nuances in the approach to different markets
- Passion for lifestyle brands especially in fashion and retail sectors. Experience working in a retail driven organization
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence across groups effectively
- Experience in managing, developing and motivating teams.
