Job Description
In this part-time (permanent) receptionist role, based at Epworth Eastern (Box Hill) and Lilydale Consulting Suites, you will be the first point of contact for patients visiting the hospital, meeting and greeting patients, ensuring upkeep of patient files, coordinating with our doctors and staff, and back-of-office administration processes. You will be working collaboratively as part of a cohesive team, reporting to the Patient Services Manager.
You will make an impact by:
- Leading by example with excellent customer service, time management and an aptitude for a variety of systems and software.
- Building strong relationships with our consultants and patients and demonstrating the Epworth values
- Providing support to a team of staff and Manager through the adoption of a can-do attitude and role-up-your-sleeves approach.
To be successful in this role…
You will be a quick learner; quick to think on your feet when faced with problems, and a multi-tasker, used to dealing with numerous tasks at any one time. Additionally, you will value teamwork, showing mutual respect and actively contribute to a collaborative environment.
You will have:
- Healthcare experience (desirable)
- Minimum 2 years demonstrated experience in a similar administration, admissions, or business support role (essential)
- Excellent communication skills both in person, written and on the telephone; with a demonstrated ability to manage difficult conversations professionally and empathetically.
- Excellent computer skills.
- Ability to prioritise and meet timelines whilst maintaining customer service in a fast-paced and demanding environment
